Stonecutters Kitchen faces Stonington Harbor. The menu centers on Maine seafood done the way it should be — lobster rolls stuffed the way you'd hope, chowder made with real cream, seafood platters that don't cut corners. The kitchen also runs pizza and sandwiches for groups with mixed appetites.
The outdoor dining option puts you on the harbor itself. On a clear day, with the lobster boats coming in and the light on the water, it's one of the better places to eat on the island.
The private event room fits 25 to 30, and catering services are available off-site for larger gatherings. The same owners operate Harbor View Store immediately adjacent — the store is the convenience operation, the restaurant is the sit-down experience, and take-out pickup for the restaurant happens through the store's back counter.
