Captain Charlie Beam has spent more than three decades on these waters, which gives the tours a depth of local knowledge — specific coves, wildlife patterns, and navigational quirks that a newer operator wouldn't have.
The tours welcome photographers, both professional and amateur, and the company maintains a photo gallery of images captured during past excursions. Custom charters are available alongside the standard tour offerings.

"Spectacular trip with Charlie on Bugaboo around various islands near Stonington. Charlie literally went the extra mile going more places than we expected and stopping to let us swim on Green Island. He noticed osprey nesting in an unexpected spot and we stopped to check them out with binoculars. Saw lovely seals sunning themselves and stopped again to watch them - and them swim to watch us-! Charlie knows the islands like the back of his hand and pointed them out by name with historical commentary. Charlie does a wonderful job of sharing his knowledge and also giving you space to relax and soak in the beauty of the ocean. Thank you Charlie for giving my family a magical evening on the water!"
